England Walking Football – June Training Sessions
June saw another strong month of training and competition for England Walking Football, with both our women’s and men’s squads in action across two venues.
Our women’s team trained at Tudor Grange Academy, Kingshurst, sharpening skills and building momentum as preparations continue for the season ahead. The session focused on movement, passing drills, and team cohesion — all delivered in a supportive, high-energy environment.
The men assembled at Trinity High School in Redditch for focused training sessions, intra-50s matches, and 50s vs 60s games.
Billy Morrison, Over 60s Assistant Manager, expressed his gratitude following a recent training session and match:
“I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the team I selected to step in and play for the Over 65s, as well as those who supported the training session. I also want to acknowledge everyone who travelled from across the country to attend – your commitment and dedication do not go unnoticed.
Both Martin and I hold the utmost respect for each and every one of you.
A special congratulations as well to all the new players who earned their first England cap yesterday – a fantastic achievement. Well done, everyone!”
