πŸ“² We made the move to Spond!

To improve communication and make life easier for all our players, we transitioned from the Stack Team app to Spond β€” a free, easy-to-use app trusted by sports teams nationwide.

Why Spond?

⚽ Governance & Transparency

June has seen some changes to our committee and leadership structure.

Keeley Jones has stepped into the position of Vice Chairperson and Secretary, whilst continuing as Assistant Manager in the Women's Section. Keeley will support Brendan Maxwell with the overall leadership of England Walking Football on both a strategic and administrative level.

Michael Walker has taken on the role as Director of Football for the Men's Section, whilst continuing in his role as Manager of the Women's Section. Michael will offer support to managers, working to improve communication, collaboration and pathways across England Walking Football.

Michael is currently busy recruiting for a new men's Over 50's manager, we hope to have someone on board very soon.

Jay Adams has accepted the role of Deputy Director of Football for the Women's Section. Jay will offer support to the ever growing Women's Section on both a strategic and administrative level.

With growing participation and international visibility, our governance structures are designed to support fairness, leadership, and accountability.

πŸ† Champions Alert! – A Clean Sweep in the Tri Nations and Celtic Nations Cup for EWF Women's Section

Congratulations to our Women's Section on winning all three age categories, making them overall winners of the Tri Nations and Celtic Nations Cup.

Manager, Mike Walker said:

"The teams, refreshed with new squad members and under new management, competed in the Tri Nation and Celtic Nations tournament on Saturday 21st June. Despite hot and humid conditions, England's 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s teams excelled at the competition hosted by the Republic Of Ireland Walking Football Association. The 40’s team won all their games without conceding any goals, the 50’s team showed resilience by coming from behind to win their first game and topping their group, and the 60’s team secured their title on goal difference. England's overall success was marked by winning four trophies, being crowned overall winners and showcasing a bright future for England Women's Walking Football
