👟 Southern Open Trials - A Fantastic Day in Oxford

England Walking Football welcomed 33 talented women to the England Walking Football Southern Open Trials at the incredible Oxford University Sport facilities.

An amazing display of skill, passion, and determination from all the trialists – thank you to everyone who took part! The energy and commitment shown truly reflects the spirit of walking football and the strength of the women's game.

A big thank you to our coaches. The future of England Women’s Walking Football is bright!

💪 May Training Round-Up

May was packed with energy and action!

  • Women’s team trained at Castle Vale, focusing on movement, passing, and team cohesion.
  • Men’s Over 50s and 70s competed in mini-tournaments at Birmingham County FA, facing Red Dragons, Sealand, and Caribbean teams.

England Walking Football enjoyed a hugely successful outing in Swansea, with strong performances from the Over 50s, Over 70s (Whites), and the historic debut of the Over 75s (Reds).

Over 50s

The squad got the day off to a flying start with two dominant victories, combining clinical finishing with well-drilled teamwork:

  • 6–0 Win
  • 9–0 Win

A brilliant showcase of attacking football and composure throughout.

Over 70s (Whites)

Unyielding in defence and composed in possession, the Over 70s kept three clean sheets en route to a perfect set of results:

  • 1–0 Win
  • 4–0 Win
  • 1–0 Win

Impressive tactical maturity and cohesion saw them excel.

Over 75s (Reds) – A Historic Debut

Marking their first-ever official fixtures, the Over 75s stepped onto the pitch with pride, playing with heart and skill:

  • 2–1 Win
  • 2–2 Draw
  • 1–2 Loss

A landmark moment for the growth of Walking Football, proving age is no barrier to competing with spirit and style.
